Dallas (January 28, 2026)—Herz Law represents the family of a first-year high school student in the McKinney Independent School District in McKinney, Texas. On the complaint of the student, alleging instances of rape over several months, corroborated by the immediate investigation of the McKinney Police Department, a warrant issued for the arrest of Ms. Lindsey Post, a 35-year-old athletic trainer employed by the ISD. Post is currently being booked into custody.

The existence of this matter has just come to the attention of the family and law enforcement. Because of the recency and sensitivity of this matter, what is known and can be shared is limited, but the following is public knowledge: in advance of today’s arrest, Post was placed on administrative leave by her employer, McKinney ISD. According to McKinney PD, Post is under arrest on suspicion of charges including sexual assault of a child11 See Tex. Penal Code § 22.011(a)(2). and improper relationship between educator and student.22 See Tex. Penal Code § 21.12. An employee of a public school commits the offense of improper educator–student relationship if the employee engages in sexual contact or intercourse with a person who is enrolled in the school at which the employee works.33 Tex. Penal Code § 21.12(a)(1).

Herz Law and the victim family are grateful to the fast and thoughtful investigation and response to the serious criminal allegations levied here. While the State ascertains criminal responsibility for these heinous acts, Herz Law will vigorously investigate civil liability for the same, while urging the District, regardless of the institution or result of litigation, to immediately reform its policies, procedures, and practices to protect its student body, which remains susceptible to the same abuse until something changes. Two-deep leadership and better supervision would have prevented the rapes in this matter and stand to prevent it in the future.
